Minutes of the Board Meeting
The meeting was called to order by President Bob Haupt at 7:00 p.m. Present
were Bob Haupt, Sam James, Don Jesuale, Paul Schultz, Sandi Steckel, Boyd Trommater,
Harold Kling and Gail Kowalski.
Ellie Koonz from Great Lakes Fish Management Lamprey Division may be speaker at
the May 21 General Meeting at the Town Hall.
Saturday, August 12, 2001 will be the annual picnic at Riverside Park. 4-7 p.m.
Potluck with a raffle of donated items: hand made afghan (Sandi) and a log
carrier/metal holder (Harold) Raffle tickets will be $5 each. Approved $25 to
social committee for pop, coffee, ice.
Reviewed By-laws. Ken Schultz proposed the By-laws be presented at the July
annual meeting for approval and passage. Harold Kling seconded. A copy of the
by-laws will be sent to members before the July meeting along with the notice
of the July meeting. Ken motioned Sandi take revised by-laws to be printed in
simple booklet form--100 copies-- and authorize expense of such printing.
Harold seconded.
Treasurer reports $601.23 expenses and a to-date balance of $1,348.41 includes
the final payment having been made to WSCC. Sandi will buy 2 - $5 coupon books
from McDonald's for the children and a plant for a door prize for the picnic.
No news from Dr. Helal about future lake study so this will be decided on May
21.
Bob, Ken and Harold are meeting May 10 with Cadillac DEQ and DNR discussing
lake study, grants available, getting pamphlets and information suitable to be
included in a packet available to new members and interested parties.
Ken motioned and Harold seconded that Sandi and Bob be the authorized
signatures on the checking account for Hackert Lake Association and action will
be taken to bring this into effect.

The next meeting will be May 21, 2001 at 7:00 at Amber Township Hall. It will
be a general meeting.
